It is recommended to replace the driver’s side and passenger’s side wipers at the same time for improved vision and increased safety. Do not forget to replace rear-window wipers as well.
Do I need to clean my windshield before installing new wipers?
Windshield contamination is a common cause for poor wiper performance even if the wipers are still in good shape. Some kinds of contamination, such as tree sap, can destroy the wiping element in a short time. We recommend cleaning the windshield regularly with soap and water or a household glass cleaner.
How should I clean my windshield?
We suggest using the following mild abrasive cleaning solution. It is as follows:
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid
4 cups of water
Mix the ingredients together and use a soft cloth to wipe down both the windshield and the silicone squeegee on the blades with the cleaning solution. Then rinse thoroughly to get off any excess solution.
Are both the blades on my car the same size?
It depends on the make, model and year of your  vehicle. Sometimes they are the same size while other times they are not. Consult your owners manual or the catalog when purchasing replacement blades to make sure you purchase the correct size blades.
What size wiper does my vehicle take?
See our WIPER BLADE SIZE for a listing of vehicle wiper sizes, along with which of our products are available in those sizes.
What are the signs of a worn wiper blade?
There are various indications for worn-out wipers; streaks, smears, unwiped areas on the windshield; chattering, skipping wiper blades; nicked, cracked or separated rubber elements; noisy wiping action due to worn-out wiper blade joints。
Why do the blades lift off the windshield at high speeds?
If your blade is not aerodynamically designed , the air pressure around the blade will cause it to lift, right off the windshield, like an airplane wing.
My wipers are making a chattering noise and missing spots. What should I do?
First, with a soft cloth, clean the windshield and wiper blades using a mixture of baking soda, dishwashing liquid and water. Next, make sure the wiper blade is correctly installed using the proper adapter. If the problem continues, adjust the tension by stopping the blades in the upright position. Hold blade at the point of connection to the arm and pull the blade away from the glass approximately two inches. Let the blade snap back to the glass. This process may need to be repeated a couple of times depending on the situation.
